After an on field incident a senior Kapiti Old Boys player left the field of play to speak to officials and the Levin Old Boys Captain. He returned and immediately called a team discussion where a vote was taken and the team left the field.
Levin Old Boys Cricket Club should be commended for their handling of this incident in light of KOB’s stance.
Horowhenua-Kapiti Cricket Association is doing great things for cricket in this region and we appreciate the support and guidance they provide.
Player welfare was the primary concern. People play cricket for the enjoyment. Unfortunately it negatively effected everyone involved.
All parties must forgive and move forward. We extend it from our players and Club to our opposing player unreservedly.
Kapiti Old Boys Cricket Club is proud of our players for their stance. Thanks to everyone who has provided and offered their support.
